This fall, RedwoodRISE had the incredible opportunity to partner with the Dominion Energy Innovation Center (DEIC) to support their first-ever Precursor Cohort, an initiative aimed at helping early-stage energy startups develop a strong foundation for growth. Over the course of eight weeks, we worked closely with these innovative founders to build and refine their go-to-market strategies, providing them with the tools and insights needed to successfully bring their solutions to market.
The cohort featured a group of forward-thinking entrepreneurs tackling some of the most pressing challenges in the energy sector. Throughout the program, we guided participants through key elements of market positioning, customer segmentation, messaging, and scaling strategies—ensuring they were equipped to communicate their value effectively and chart a path toward long-term success.
Each session was designed to be interactive and practical, offering real-world applications and personalized feedback to help startups refine their business models and prepare for future investor engagements. It was inspiring to see the progress made over the eight weeks, and the energy, creativity, and determination displayed by the cohort were truly impressive.
As we wrapped up the program, it was clear that these innovators are well on their way to making a significant impact in the energy and clean tech space. We’re proud to have played a role in their journey and look forward to seeing how they continue to evolve and grow.
